Anne Riegler (*1990) is a German pianist with diverse musical interests. Her concerts are characterized by authentic, moving interpretations and a high level of musical understanding. Her concert programs include works from all eras, with a special love for the music of Maurice Ravel. She also performs her own compositions and improvisations in concert. Anne Riegler enjoys freely and entertainingly moderating the program, informing the audience about the works and composers, and sharing what personally connects her to the music.

Anne Riegler is also active as a composer. She writes piano works for herself, for piano students, as well as for children’s choir, and regularly performs her full-length musical fairy tale. Anne Riegler’s dedication to music education is evident not only in her moderation of piano evenings and her composition of children’s musicals and concerts – she also teaches with great passion and joy. At the University of Music Würzburg, she teaches a piano class and gives seminars on piano methodology. Performing, composing, and teaching form a balanced mix of her musical life, allowing her to view music from three essential perspectives that mutually inspire each other.

Anne Riegler studied piano, classical piano improvisation, and instrumental pedagogy in Würzburg, Stuttgart, Saint Petersburg, and New York City, among others with Silke-Thora Matthies, Noam Sivan, and the “last Romantic” Jerome Rose. She completed the master class with top marks and received numerous scholarships and awards. Her CD “à la manière de…” featuring works by Ravel and composers he musically portrayed is available on the TyxArt label, and her children’s musicals are published by Carus-Verlag.
